BMM students with their first field trip to enterprises

1.Sao Do Group

Sao Do Group is a conglomerate, which focuses on key fields such as real estate, construction, building materials, petroleum, and logistics... Since 2009, Sao Do Group has started to develop Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park - the only industrial park in Vietnam with an internal seaport. This is an industrial park with a special design, connected to the Haiphong seaport system, an essential part of the logistics chain in the North of Vietnam.



 



 

Up to now, Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park has attracted 44 projects from Vietnam, Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, and Singapore with a total capital of more than 300 million USD.

 

The field trip at the corporation provides students with practical knowledge about the operation of industrial parks, seaport logistics activities, and especially, industrial real estate businesses.

2. Green Port



Greenport Joint Stock Company is a member of the Vietnam Container Shipping Joint Stock Corporation (VICONSHIP), which was officially put into operation in November 2015. VIP Greenport is currently operating 2 berths with a total length of 400m, 5 quay cranes with a lifting capacity of 45 tons to more than 100 tons, and a container yard with a capacity of 12,000 TEUs and 2,800 plugs for reefer containers.

Inheriting the business philosophy of "be professional to serve" from VICONSHIP, in recent years, Greenport has continuously invested in human resources, facilities, and a modern terminal management system to provide the most professional and economical services for all stakeholders such as carriers, consignees, shippers as well as forwarding agents... The internship at the Greenport allows students to gain more understanding of port operation as well as the great potential of the Haiphong seaport system.

 

3. LG Display



LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong (LGDVH) is one of the subsidiaries of LG DISPLAY - a global leader in the development and production of OLED panels with the largest global market share for the product lines which is the large size TFT-LCD panel, accounting for 23% in 2016. LG Display Company currently has the largest FDI capital in Hai Phong city. Particularly in 2021, the company has 2 times of capital increase with a total of more than 2.1 billion USD, bringing the total investment capital to 4.65 billion USD.





With this investment, the company increased production of plastic OLED screens from 9.6-10 million products/month to 13-14 million products/month. It is expected that export revenue will increase by about 6.5 billion USD/year, contributing to about 25 million USD/year to the state budget, creating jobs for 10,000 more employees. Currently, LGDVH is building an additional plant (H3) which is expected to inaugurate in 2023. 

 

The internship at the company provide students with the opportunity to experience the professional working environment of one of the largest producers of the country.
